Ingredients:
2 GEFILTE FISH ROLLS, frozen
½ cup CORNFLAKE CRUMBS, unflavored
1/8 teaspoon ONION POWDER
¼ teaspoon BLACK PEPPER
1/4 teaspoon GARLIC POWDER
½ teaspoon SALT
1 teaspoon PAPRIKA
OIL SPRAY
Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Remove the gefilte fish rolls from the freezer and let them thaw for about 30 minutes. Leave in wax paper while thawing.
In a shallow bowl, combine the cornflake crumbs and spices.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and generously coat it with oil spray.
Remove the wax paper from the fish rolls. The rolls may still be partially frozen, which makes them easier to slice. Using a sharp knife, trim off the ends and cut each roll into 8 even slices, about ¾ inch thick.
Coat each slice thoroughly on all sides with the seasoned crumb mixture and place on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each patty.
Generously spray the tops of the patties with oil.
Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the patties are cooked through and golden brown on the outside. For extra crispiness, you can flip the patties after about 25 minutes and give them another light spray of oil before returning them to the oven. Serve warm or at room temperature.
NOTE: The baked patties freeze well. Allow them to cool completely, then store in an airtight container or freezer bag. Reheat in a 350°F oven until warmed through.
